I WOKE UP with a heavy red-scaled coil lying over my midsection, Rholan’s head nuzzled between my breasts, his tail wrapped around my thigh.

I stretched, sore in places I hadn’t known could be sore.

Well, it hadn’t hurt while it was happening, but now, I felt very, well, um, used.

But the thought made me smile, and I relaxed into the bed with a happy sigh. I couldn’t stop myself from replaying the night before at top speed, zipping through moments, slowing down here and there to remember things he’d said to me.

You feel sublime.

I maybe wanted that on repeat. I stretched out the memory and carefully folded it up and put it in a safe spot, where I could take it out any time I wanted and remember it. The way he’d felt inside me as he said it, the timbre of his voice, the press of his warm, smooth coils…

I shivered and I couldn’t stop smiling.

His face moved against my breasts.

I rubbed the top of his head.

He sighed, scenting me deliberately, all over both of my breasts, and then on both sides of my neck. He shifted and his face was over mine and his coils were moving against me.

“Gissele,” he breathed.

“Rholan,” I said.

He kissed me.

I moaned. “Mmm, you always taste like cinnamon, and I’m sure my mouth tastes horrid in the morning.”

“Cinnamon?” He pulled away, arching an eyebrow. “You said something like that before. I didn’t understand then either.”

I flushed. “It’s a spice. It’s usually used to season—”

“I know what cinnamon is,” he said in a withering voice. “I’m quite certain I don’t taste like it.”

“You do,” I said. “Your, um, your seed is… I mean, you’re delicious.”

“That’s very odd,” he whispered. “Some side effect of the demon, I wonder. If we get it out of you, love…”

“You’re saying you don’t taste like cinnamon sugar, and I’m just tasting you that way because the demon is altering my tastebuds?”

“I definitely don’t taste like cinnamon sugar.”

“But how would you know?”

He waggled his eyebrows and then dove down between my thighs.

I let out a yelp, and his mouth was licking me there. I groaned and writhed.

He swirled around my clit. “Not cinnamon, but I do like our co-mingled taste, I think.”

“What is it like?”

He kissed me.

All I tasted was cinnamon and sweetness. I sighed. “Listen, Rholan, we’re not going to be able to get it out of me,” I breathed.

He pulled away, wings fluttering. “What? Yes, we are. That’s what we’re doing today, in fact. Well, first we’re going to have morning sex, and then we’re going to eat the leftover bird you didn’t eat last night, and then I’m finding you something to wear, I suppose, and then we’re going back to your town and I’m going to breathe fire into the faces of your Gentlemen until they fix you.”

“They can’t,” I said.

“Certainly, they can. They started this business, after all.”

“You remember the business with Arthur and the unicorn.”

He settled back, looking thoughtful. “Ah, I see what you’re saying. That was the best they could do, and it obviously didn’t work.
